The committee meetings of Urbanization Monte de los Almendros in 2012 will take place on a Tuesday. Meetings will start at 18.00 hours and will be held in the meeting room below the Administration office. All owners are welcome to attend.

This Wednesday 12th October 2011 – Spanish National Day – will take place a world class equestrian show in the Plaza de Toros de Motril. It will feature 14 beautiful Andalucian horses, 12 skilled riders and 6 flamenco dancers. The show will begin at 12:30. The entrance costs 5 euros and will be available two hours before the beginning of the show, at the ticket offices of the Plaza de Toros in Motril. Enjoy and be sure to take your camera with you!
All day long this Sunday 9 October 2011, there will be many activities in relation to the Romeria and the feast of St. Rosario in Salobrena. At 11.00, the saint will leave from Plaza Juan Carlos in direction to the beach and will be accompanied by her brotherhood, horses, decorated carts, the local band and many worshippers of St. Rosario and on-lookers. Everyone will be dressed in traditional clothes.
The town hall of Salobrena will be closed on Monday, 10 October 2011 in relation to the celebration of the feast of the patron saint of Salobrena, Rosario. They will also be closed on Friday 7 October 2011 as that is a local holiday in Salobrena.
A group of sporty people and nature lovers called Sexi Aventura Costa Tropical is organizing routes through attractive places of the varied geography of our wonderful Costa Tropical. If you want to be close to nature and if you like walking, this is for you! Two routes are organized each month. To have an idea of the excursions month by month, please refer to our "What's on guide" section. All these routes begin at 9:00 AM and the departure point is Granada city.
Don’t know what to do on Saturday or Sunday night? Then go to Salobrena and enjoy its open air medieval market. It takes place in the Parque de la Fuente, from 7PM to 12PM. To find it, at the first round-about with the fountain, go straight. At the next round-about, take the left exit, following the signs for the beaches (Playas). Go straight, and you will finally arrive to the Parque de la Fuente. There will be traditional crafts and food, falconry, carousel for children and a medieval bar for parents!
On 24th June we celebrate San Juan Bautista with the beginning of summer, a time full of light and color. During this week, numerous celebrations as well as religious, sports and gastronomic events will be organized in Salobrena and in many other Spanish towns.
The famous lions of the most emblematic Fountain of the Lions in the Alhambra come back to the Nasrid Palaces, after three years of restoration. Until 31st October 2011, you will be able to contemplate those twelve lions in the Crypt of the Palace of Charles V. The exhibition “Lions, the restoration of a symbol” includes a reading area and five videos.

The Tourist Information Office in Salobrena is located right in the first round-about at the entrance of the town, next to the restaurant La Bodega.
