If you are looking for a place to enjoy gourmet tapas or a meal in a nice atmosphere, be sure to go to Degusta´s in Playa Granada. It is located in front of the golf course in Motril. They are open for lunch and dinner. This restaurant belongs to the owner of the successful and well-liked Roberto's restaurant, which is located next door. Degusta's is definitely the trendy new place to be seen. You can eat outside under their covered porch or inside either at the large bar area or in the separate dining room. The place is beautifully decorated, but more importantly the food is innovative and delicious. There were many wonderful salads to choose from including one with rucula, fresh mangos from Motril, gorgonzola cheese and a nut vinegar. The pizza with truffles, raspberries, and foie gras is not to be missed. The desserts are worth mentioning too, as the pineapple ice cream drizzled in chocolate and the chocolate covered raspberry soufflé disappeared from the table very quickly. It was the ultimate dining experience and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food.
