It has been reduced the number of cats in the Monte de los Almendros thanks to owners that led to the veterinary clinic for sterilization.
Of course, this represents an expense.

Last night my husband and I ate a relatively new restaurant in Almunecar. It is called Los Laureles. We have eaten here several times, but they never cease to amaze us. The menu constantly changes and not only is the food top notch, it is absolutely great value for money as well. The service is impeccable. It is run by a young, hard working couple that are truly inspirational. She is Spanish and originally is from Almunecar and her partner Mark is English. He is the chef and she provides the wonderful service.

Dolphins & Flying Fish Having Fun Near La Herradura

On Sunday we had a fabulous day boating. The weather was very strange and it wasn´t one of our typical, blue skies days that we are so accustomed to on the Costa Tropical of Granada. Nevertheless the sea was calm, so we decided to go out. We had a great time snorkeling and observing the schools of colourful fish near the caves of Cerro Gordo and Maro. We had a great lunch at the restaurant Marina Playa Beach Club in La Herradura, but the real excitement started when we left the marina. We saw something whiz by us. It turned out to be a flying fish.

A Local Brew Receives International Acclaim for Ron Montero Rum

As rum connsieurs know, not all rums are the same. A local rum, that has been produced since 1963 using sugar cane from the Costa Tropical, has just received international acclaim from the Institute of Taste and Quality in Brussels for its taste, smell and appearance. This is really quite an honour considering that this rum until recently had only been for sale within the province of Granada. If you’re a fan of quality rum, you can now visit the recently remodeled bodega of Ron Montero.
