The following companies come recommended by our previous guests that have stayed at our rental villas in Salobrena. We have no affiliation with any of these companies.

• CarJet is Spain's number 1 car hire company. They are a broker so they search for the best prices amongst all rental car companies. They have been around since 1998 and they offer good service and have very competitive, all inclusive prices.
• Helle Hollis is a Danish owned and managed company. They are known for having good, reliable cars and efficient service. Every Thursday morning at 10 a.m., they publish last minute car hire offers for the week on their website.
• Crown Car Hire are well established throughout Andalucia. They even have an office in Almunecar, which is 10 minutes away from our villas, so if you have any problems a change can be made very conveniently. One client complained about having to wait in a long queue. This occurred during the Easter holiday period. The other car companies were empty, which leads me to believe that Crown had the most affordable prices.

The following 3 car hire companies operate out of Malaga airport, but not Granada airport. They come recommended by our previous guests for their low cost prices.

• Malaga Car - They have their own fleet of brand new cars. They are not brokers, so you get direct prices and presumably better customer service. Repeat guests of our holiday homes use this rental car company every time they visit us in Salobrena.
• Europa Rent a Car - Many people like this company because there are no insurance excesses. As a result, their prices are very competitive. We recently had some negative feedback from clients about having to wait in a queue one hour to collect the car. The other complaint was in regard to the fuel policy. They had to pay 71 euros for a full tank of petrol at the start of the rental and then they could return the tank empty. Seventy one euros for a small VW Golf is quite expensive and at least 30 euros higher than the market price. The flip side, though, is that there were no insurance excesses. We mention this so you can consider all the costs and make an apples to apples comparison when booking your hire car.
• Record Rent a Car - Their prices are supposedly the lowest although some of our guests have complained about having to wait in a long queue.
