This Wednesday 12th October 2011 – Spanish National Day – will take place a world class equestrian show in the Plaza de Toros de Motril. It will feature 14 beautiful Andalucian horses, 12 skilled riders and 6 flamenco dancers. The show will begin at 12:30. The entrance costs 5 euros and will be available two hours before the beginning of the show, at the ticket offices of the Plaza de Toros in Motril. Enjoy and be sure to take your camera with you!

If you want to be close to nature and if you like walking, this is for you! Two routes are organized each month. To have an idea of the excursions month by month, please refer to our "What's on guide" section. All these routes begin at 9:00 AM and the departure point is Granada city.

All these routes begin at 08:00 AM and the departure point is the bus station that is near the Tourist Information Office, in Motril.

For those of you interested in yoga classes, there is a wonderful, multi-lingual teacher offering classes in Motril, Salobrena and Almunecar.
Brice Canipel is French and speaks English and Spanish fluently. Classes are small, so each student receives a lot of personal attention to make sure everything is being done safely and that you are pushing yourself to your own limit. He makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome. The classes in Motril will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 18.00 to 19.30. They will be held near the Santa Ana Hospital. Classes begin on Tuesday, 14 September 2010.

The registration fee is 12 euros per route.

Visit Loja in one day. This includes a tour through the Old part of the town (casco historic), through a natural place and lunch in a restaurant of the town. There are two different visiting hours: 4 whole hours, from 10AM to 2PM or in two parts, from 12AM to 2PM and from 4 to 6PM. These visits will be organized until April. Good news for the English speakers who enjoy reading or for those who want to improve their English: the Spanish Biblioteca of La Herradura has recently opened an English Library. It is located on the third floor of the Civic Center. It is open every Wednesday from 11AM to 1PM. You can easily become a member for only 10 euros per year and it entitles you up to eight books a fortnight.
