11 - 15 June: Frigiliana Town Festival. Concerts will be held by local pop and flamenco stars. There will be fireworks along with a procession on the 13th of June. Contact the Frigiliana tourist information office for more details on 952 53 31 26.

12 June: Flamenco Show at Casa de Cultura in Almunecar. Call 958 838 623 for more details regarding tickets and show time.

13 - 15 June: Almunecar Food & Wine Festival, featuring local restaurants, will be held in the Botanical Gardens of Parque Majuelo underneath the Moorish castle of Almunecar. Entrance is free.

End of June: The much awaited, Almunecar Aquarium is expected to open in late June 2008. It is located in the centre of Almunecar across from the Municipal Market in the Plaza de Kuwait. More details coming soon.

July 2008

5 - 13 July: Cirque du Soleil performs 'Quidam' at Cortijo de Torres fairground in Malaga. You can order tickets online from www.cirquedusoleil.com, or you can purchase them in person at any El Corte Inglés store. Alternatively you can call 914 848 340 Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 21:00 & Saturday from 13:00 to18:00. Tickets are selling fast so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Ticket prices start at 35 euros. Last year 110,000 people attended the Cirque du Soleil performances in Malaga.

11 - 19 July: The 21st Annual Jazz en la Costa festival will be held at Parque El Majuelo in Almunecar. This festival attracts large crowds so it is important to order your tickets in advance. Ticket prices are 10 euros per concert or 60 euros for a week long pass. Last year around 12,000 people enjoyed the event's eclectic mix of jazz, from traditional to modern fusion. Past guests here have included Branford Marsalis, Paquito D'Rivera, Majuelo Creek, Danilo Perez, Passos Rose, Tete Montoliú, Kenny Barron, Bill Frisell, Dave Holland ChanoDomínguez and Roy Hargrove. 24 - 28 July: The 48th Annual International Festival of Music & Dance will be held at the Caves of Nerja. Contact their office directly at 952 529 520 or visit their website www.cuevadenerja.es for performance and ticket information. Tickets always sell out so be sure to order tickets in advance.
