If you want to see some authentic flamenco and not a show put on for tourists, then go and visit La Chumbera in the Sacromonte area of Granada. On Saturday evening at 21.30 hours, MUJERES ANONIMAS (CHUA ALBA) will be performing. Tickets are 7 euros each and can be purchased at the door. Get there early to make sure you get a good seat in the centre of the auditorium. The back of the stage is a wall of glass that looks out to the Alhambra, which is illuminated at night. It is truly a spectacular back drop. To find La Chumbera, it is easiest to take a taxi once you are in downtown Granada. Please don’t attempt to drive there. The fare is about 6 euros from the centre of Granada to the door of La Chumbera.
