Perfect for recharging the batteries before Christmas.
We had a great week, in weather which resembled a perfect English summer. The villa was ideal for us with our grown up children and friend - 6 in all. We swam every day except one, lazed in the hot tub, ate fresh local produce from Mercadona, read books, watched DVDs and played endless silly games. The villa has lots of space, with different areas to occupy to follow the sun and fantastic views. We stayed on the other side of the development a few years ago and loved that, but Villa Mira Mar definitely had the edge in December as it gets full sun from dawn to dusk and we saw some amazing sunrises and sunsets. We returned home refreshed and relaxed, ready for the onslaught of Christmas.

Wow... was the word that we all used as we entered the villa! The views were fantastic with some amazing colours as the sun sets over the hills. Even the moon was a sight to behold. Although we could not see any dolphins we were lucky enough to be above the clouds when they came rolling in off the sea. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated, especially when arriving late at night. The villa was so clean and the rooms and facilities gave us everything we needed for a very comfortable week in the Salobrena sunshine.
The hot tub was a treat and we were rarely disturbed other than the odd passing car going to the few villas above us.
The town is only 10 mins drive and easy to find, although I would recommend other beaches rather than the one in Salobrena itself as it was a little gravelly and busy considering we visited in off-peak season.
Marie at Cumbre villas was so polite and made everything very easy for us. I would definately recommend Cumbre Villas again and this style of holiday if you would like a week of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We are very sorry to be back in the rainy Netherlands once again. We all have enjoyed our stay in Mira Mar very very much. It was fantastic.

Our perfect family getaway, with spectacular views and facilities.
After deciding to spend Christmas abroad this year, there is always an initial worry if we've made the right choice. From the moment of booking Villa Mira Mar, Cumbre Villas couldn't have been more helpful by sending us good directions and providing us with a welcome basket full of surprises.
The Villa Mira Mar perches on top of a hillside with unspoilt 180 degree views of the Sierra Nevadas and the Med, including the castle in Salobrena. The house itself is large and accommodated 8 people really well. There is ample outdoor space on three sides of the property with lots of sun loungers and seating areas to enjoy the sunshine. Further more the house is very well equipped with all kitchen essentials needed. It also had a very large gas heated bbq at the back which was very handy.
We were also impressed with the visitor book put together as it has everything you need to know about the local area, including shopping and restaurants.
In all we couldn't have had a better stay in Spain!
