About Eda

Eda was born in Turkey but grew up in Germany in the Black Forest. She studied Spanish Philology at the University of Freiburg and University of Granada. Soon after, she moved to Spain with her family. She has been living for over 20 years in Orgiva, a lively town in the south of the Sierra Nevada. It was there that she was able to develop her passions, both for languages and her creative side, cooking! She has been working as a chef in a retreat center and at the same time giving classes in several languages and cookery workshops. Combining her talents, she is always open to new challenges and adventures. On one of those occasions, she met the Cumbre Villas team and now she works with us with all the enthusiasm of discovering a new world.

I have always been fascinated by life in Andalusia. When I arrived in Granada, I immediately fell in love with the culture and welcoming people, so similar to my origins in the Eastern Mediterranean. I have been fortunate to be able to raise my 3 children here, with a tranquility and tolerance of all the generations being together, something you don’t find elsewhere in the world. Friends have become family, we go on excursions, hiking, sports like paddle tennis, volleyball, paddle surfing. We go to the beach and to the reservoirs practically year-round. You will also find us at all the village fiestas, and above all, wherever there is a good dish to share.
