Urban plot in the natural reserve of Cerro Gordo in La Herradura with views to the Mediterranean Sea.
The plot is located on one of the most spectacular coastlines with rugged cliffs, sandy coves, bays and small beaches on the borders of the provinces of Granada (Almuñécar) und Málaga (Nerja). The United Nations have assigned this area a “ZEPIM” (Zona Especialmente Protegida de importancia para el Mediterraneo), a protected area with a special importance for the whole Mediterranean. It is about the natural preserve of Paraje Natural Acantilados de Maro – Cerro Gordo. It presents a Mediterranean vegetation, composed of brushwood and trees, like Juniper, Ephedra, Stoneoaks, Masticbushes, Hollies, Carob trees, Wild pines and palmettos.
The urbanization El Nogal certainly is located at one of the most beautiful coastal areas of the whole Spain, the natural reserve “Cerro Gordo”. The urbanization is one of the highest located on Costa Tropical. The district is situated in a very calm neighbourhood and can be accessed via a private road only. El Nogal lies in the wonderful natural reserve Cerro Gordo, which reaches to the 7 miles away town of Nerja and offers brilliant views towards north to the 1.400 m high mountains of the Sierra de Tejera as well as towards the sea. The district provides a just recently completely renewed infrastructure. One finds exclusively Villa plots and already existing, developed estates only. It provides magnificent views over the entire coastline to Málaga and beyond.
The building plot has almost 1.000 m2 and it is possible to build a detached villa of approx. 200 m2 with a second building of 50 m2. The plot offers a marvellous view to the bay of Nerja and the surrounding mountains, embedded into the Mediterranean forest with old pine trees just 5 minutes away from the natural beach Playa el Cañuelo.

The motorway to Málaga and Granada one reaches within 10 minutes as well. The cities of Málaga and Granada are less than an hour away. Also the town of Nerja on Costa del Sol with its terrific old town, countless small, nice shops, restaurants and bars is just a 15 min. drive away.
